Centennial Resource Development Inc
A maker of oil and natural gas, Centennial Resource Development drills for and produces energy from the Delaware Basin, a stretch of the Permian Basin spanning parts of West Texas and New Mexico. Its roots reach back to 2012, when a group backed by energy investors formed a company originally named Atlantic Energy Holdings; in 2016, a "blank-check" company led by former EOG chief Mark Papa bought control and renamed the business Centennial Resource Development. In 2022, it merged with a fellow Texas producer, Colgate Energy, and took the new name Permian Resources.
