A recycler and reseller of original equipment manufacturer (OEM) automotive parts, Fenix Parts takes engines, transmissions, doors, and other components from damaged or totaled vehicles, then cleans and resells them to collision repair shops, dealerships, and individual drivers across the United States. Founded in 2014 by industry veterans, the company chose its name to echo the phoenix, the mythical bird reborn from ashes—fitting for a business that gives auto parts a second life. The company was briefly listed on the Nasdaq under the ticker FENX before being taken private by an investment firm in 2018.
