Chicopee Bancorp, Inc.

A community bank holding company, Chicopee Bancorp ran Chicopee Savings Bank, a Western Massachusetts institution founded in 1854 that served the area for over 160 years. In 2016 it merged into Westfield Financial, and its bank merged into Westfield Bank. The city of Chicopee takes its name from the Nipmuc language, often translated as "raging waters," a nod to the rapids of the local river.
