A maker of GPS fleet-tracking software that helps businesses that run vans and trucks see where their vehicles are in real time, monitor speed and fuel use, and schedule jobs for drivers. Founded in 2004 in a Dublin suburb by Mark Mintz and Peter Mitchell, the company grew into one of the larger names in fleet management with a US base in Waltham, Massachusetts, before Verizon bought it in 2016 and folded it into what is now Verizon Connect. Its name is a blend of "fleet" and "telematics"—the technology of sending vehicle data over long distances.
