Delaware Taco Restaurants, Inc.
An American fast-food chain that mixes Mexican-style favorites like tacos, burritos, and quesadillas with classic burgers, fries, and shakes, served across dozens of U.S. states. Air Force veteran Edward Hackbarth opened the first spot in Yermo, California, in 1964 under the name Casa Del Taco, later shortening it to Del Taco with partner David Jameson. The chain still grates its cheddar cheese and makes its guacamole and pico de gallo fresh in each restaurant rather than shipping in pre-made mixes.
