Revlon, Inc.

A maker of color cosmetics, skincare, fragrances, and hair care, Revlon sells brands like Almay, Elizabeth Arden, American Crew, and CND nail polish to everyday shoppers and salon professionals. It was founded in New York City in 1932 by brothers Charles and Joseph Revson with chemist Charles Lachman, and the name blends "Rev" from Revson with the "L" from Lachman. Their breakthrough was the first opaque nail enamel, made with pigments instead of the old see-through dyes, opening up a whole rainbow of nail colors.
