Sandy Spring Bancorp Inc

A community bank serving families and small businesses across Maryland and the Washington, D.C. region with checking accounts, home and business loans, and wealth management. Founded in 1868 by Quaker farmers in the village of Sandy Spring, it took its name from that community. The founding farmers pooled their savings to lend to neighbors, and the bank grew into one of the region's largest community banks before being acquired by Atlantic Union Bank in 2025.
