ERA

Era Group Inc.

A company of helicopters that carried workers and supplies to offshore oil drilling rigs and remote sites. It traces to 1948, when a pilot flew a Bell 47B helicopter to Alaska for a government mapping job, then merged with Rotor Aids in 1958 to become ERA Helicopters. In 2020 it merged with Bristow Group, creating one of the world's largest helicopter operators.
