Ims Health Holdings, Inc.

A collector and analyst of healthcare data, IMS Health tracked drug sales and doctors' prescribing habits for pharmaceutical companies around the world. Founded in 1954 as the overseas arm of a New York advertising agency, its name IMS stood for Intercontinental Marketing Services. It merged with clinical research firm Quintiles in 2016, and the combined company was renamed IQVIA the following year.
