Actuant Corporation
A maker of high-force hydraulic tools used to lift, lower, and position heavy loads in construction, mining, power generation, and oil and gas. Founded in 1910 in Milwaukee as the American Grinder Company, it later made aftermarket water pumps for the Ford Model T. In 1958 it created the Enerpac brand—a mashup of "energy" and "pack"—a name it eventually adopted entirely when it became Enerpac Tool Group.
