Augusta Resource Corporation
A mineral exploration and development company that pursued the Rosemont copper-molybdenum project in Arizona's Santa Rita Mountains. Augusta acquired the Rosemont property in 2005 and was bought out by Hudbay Minerals in 2014. The mine site overlapped the territory of "El Jefe," the only wild jaguar in the United States at the time, whose name came from a naming contest held by Tucson middle-school students.
