Brookfield Real Assets Income Fund Inc.

A closed-end fund that invests in "real assets" — the physical, tangible world — by buying securities tied to real estate (apartments, offices), infrastructure (bridges, power plants, utilities), and natural resources. It trades on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker RA and is run by Brookfield Public Securities Group, part of the global asset manager Brookfield. The fund began trading in 2016 and grew in 2020 when another Brookfield fund was folded into it. A fun quirk: despite its name, it doesn't own the pipes and towers itself — it buys the companies and securities behind them.
