Advansix Inc.

A diversified chemistry company that makes Nylon 6 resins under its Aegis brand—the plastic found in food packaging, carpet fiber, and car parts—plus the fertilizer ammonium sulfate. It was born in 2016 when Honeywell spun off its Resins and Chemicals division, and the name combines "advanced" with "Six," a nod to its signature product, Nylon 6. Its main plant in Hopewell, Virginia, occupies a site where Allied Chemical ran chemical operations dating to the early 1900s.
