A Dallas-based firm that manages and advises hotels and resorts, serving as the outside manager for two publicly listed real estate investment trusts that own upscale and luxury properties, while also supplying services like design, development, and event technology to the hospitality industry. It was born in 2014 as a spinoff of the asset-management arm of Ashford Hospitality Trust, the company launched by the Bennett family, whose roots in the hotel business go back to the 1960s. Its founder, Monty Bennett, learned the trade at his family's Remington Hotels before building the "Ashford" family of companies.
