Dzs Inc.

A maker of fiber-optic broadband and networking equipment that telecom operators use to deliver high-speed internet, the company traces back to Zhone Technologies, founded in 1999 by former Ascend Communications executives. It merged with Korea's DASAN in 2016 to become DASAN Zhone Solutions, then shortened its name to DZS in 2020. The story came full circle: after DZS entered bankruptcy in 2025, a re-formed Zhone Technologies acquired its assets.
