Cna Financial Corp
A commercial property and casualty insurer, CNA sells business insurance — including surety bonds, warranty, and risk management — to companies, associations, and professionals through independent agents and brokers, operating in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., and Continental Europe. It traces its roots to 1897, when the Continental Casualty Company was founded in Detroit to insure railroad employees, moving to Chicago in 1900. The name CNA comes from the initials of the Continental, National, and American companies that merged in 1967.
