A maker of specialty construction chemicals and building materials that help concrete flow, set, and resist water, weather, and fire. Born in 2016 as a spin-off from W. R. Grace & Co., its name draws from Grace's Construction Products unit, with "Applied Technologies" added to signal its focus on practical, results-oriented solutions. A fun twist: although its Darex packaging business was sold in 2017, the DAREX name still lives on in its line of air-entraining admixtures used to harden concrete against freeze-thaw damage.
