Nuveen Global High Income Fund
A closed-end investment fund that aims to pay out a steady stream of current income by pooling money into a globally diversified basket of income-producing securities, chiefly high-yield corporate bonds from developed and emerging markets. It trades on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker JGH and is managed by Nuveen, the Chicago asset manager founded in 1898 by German immigrant John Nuveen, who began by underwriting municipal bonds for Midwest water companies. The fund was launched in 2014, and its parent company today sits within TIAA, the teachers' pension group.
