Itc Holdings Corp.

An owner and operator of high-voltage electricity transmission lines, ITC keeps power flowing across the Midwest states, moving electricity from power plants to the local utilities that deliver it to homes. It was born in 1999 as International Transmission Co., a subsidiary of Detroit Edison, and in 2003 became the first fully independent electric transmission company in the United States — its initials are simply that founding name. In 2016 the Canadian utility Fortis Inc. bought the company.
