Alliancebernstein Income Fund, Inc.
A closed-end investment fund, it pooled investor money to buy U.S. government bonds and other income-producing securities, aiming to pay out steady current income. Born as the ACM Government Income Fund under Alliance Capital Management, it took the name AllianceBernstein Income Fund in 2007 when its parent rebranded, folding in a sibling fund the same day. It traded on the New York Stock Exchange until 2016, when shareholders voted to merge it into the AB Income Fund.
