A biopharmaceutical company that fought cancer by delivering chemotherapy drugs in precise, fixed ratios. Its signature product, VYXEOS, treats acute myeloid leukemia by packing two established chemo drugs together inside a tiny liposome so they reach tumor cells in an optimized balance. Founded around the year 2000 by cancer researchers as the first spin-off of the British Columbia Cancer Agency in Vancouver, the company was acquired by Jazz Pharmaceuticals in 2016.
