Bill Barrett Corporation

A Denver-based oil and natural gas exploration and production company, Bill Barrett Corporation hunted for energy in the Rocky Mountain basins. It was founded in 2002, when the then-seventy-four-year-old "wildcatter" Bill Barrett was lured out of retirement by his sons to start a new venture. Named after its founder, the company merged with Fifth Creek Energy in 2018 and became HighPoint Resources.
