Magnum Hunter Resources Corporation
A maker of oil and natural gas that drilled the Marcellus and Utica shale formations of the Appalachian Basin, producing from West Virginia and Ohio. It was built by Texas "wildcatter" Gary Evans, who reused the Hunter name across his ventures, including GreenHunter and Energy Hunter. After a 2015 bankruptcy filing, it reorganized and in 2017 rebranded as Blue Ridge Mountain Resources.
