Crestwood Equity Partners LP
A Texas-based energy midstream company that built and ran the pipelines, processing plants, and underground storage that move natural gas, crude oil, and natural gas liquids from wellheads to market. Its gathering systems stretched across major shale plays like the Bakken and Permian. The company took the Crestwood name in 2013 when it merged with another midstream firm, Inergy. Fun fact: the name comes from Old English words meaning "a wooded crest," and in late 2023 the business was folded into the larger pipeline operator Energy Transfer.
