Solta Medical Inc.

A company that builds energy-based devices to tighten, resurface, and rejuvenate skin without surgery, used by dermatologists and plastic surgeons. Its well-known machines include Thermage, which heats the skin with radiofrequency to firm collagen, and Fraxel and Clear + Brilliant, which use fractional lasers. Founded in the mid-1990s as Thermage, Inc., the company renamed itself Solta Medical in 2009 after buying Reliant Technologies, the maker of the Fraxel laser.
