Cascade Corporation

A maker of forklift attachments — the clamps, push-pulls, and sideshifters that let one lift truck handle everything from paper rolls and bales to cargo. Founded in 1943 by Robert C. Warren, Sr. as the Cascade Manufacturing Company in Portland, Oregon, it started as a small machine shop machining stainless steel valves before moving into hydraulic cylinders and, in 1952, its first lift-truck attachment. The name comes from the Cascade mountain range that runs through its Pacific Northwest home. Today its attachments are used in warehouses and ports around the world.
