Caribou Coffee Company, Inc.

A Minnesota-based coffeehouse chain that handcrafts coffee drinks, cold press, teas, and food in its stores, and also sells whole-bean and ground coffee plus K-Cups in grocery stores and online. It was founded in 1992 by John and Kim Puckett, who got the idea while climbing in Alaska's Denali National Park, where a herd of caribou inspired the name. Its leaping-caribou logo hides playful details: the animal's body forms a coffee bean, its legs are measuring spoons, and the blue shield nods to Denali park signage.
