Ch Energy Group Inc

A utility holding company that owns Central Hudson Gas & Electric, which delivers electricity and natural gas to homes and businesses across New York's mid-Hudson River Valley. Its roots stretch to 1900, when three entrepreneurs in Newburgh began buying up tiny local power companies; by 1925 their efforts had merged more than 80 of them into Central Hudson. The name comes from the "central" stretch of the Hudson River it serves, and in 2000 the parent company CH Energy Group was created to hold it.
