Cabela'S Inc

A retailer of hunting, fishing, camping, and outdoor gear, Cabela's sells rods, reels, rifles, bows, optics, and outdoor clothing to sportsmen and casual adventurers alike. It began in 1961 when Dick Cabela bought hand-tied fishing flies in Chicago and mailed an ad offering them free to a national magazine's readers, turning a tiny Nebraska mail-order sideline into an outdoor empire that now operates as part of Bass Pro Shops. The name simply comes from its founders, brothers Dick and Jim Cabela.
