First Trust Strategic High Income Fund II

A closed-end investment fund once managed by First Trust Advisors, it pooled shareholder money to invest in high-yield debt and other income-producing securities, aiming to pay out regular income to investors. Launched in 2006 under the ticker FHY, the "II" marked it as the successor to an earlier strategic high-income offering from the same firm. The fund's life ended in 2018 when its assets were merged into a sibling fund, the First Trust High Income Long/Short Fund.
