Allspring Income Opportunities Fund
A closed-end investment fund that buys high-yield "junk" bonds, loans, and preferred stocks in hopes of paying shareholders a steady level of income, trading daily on the NYSE American exchange under the ticker EAD. It launched in 2003 as part of Wells Fargo's asset-management family. When Wells Fargo sold that business to private-equity buyers in 2021, the fund was renamed "Allspring," a coined name meant to evoke renewal and fresh growth.
