Schwab Strategic Trust

A legal umbrella—a Delaware trust—that houses the family of exchange-traded funds (ETFs) sold under the Charles Schwab brand, such as the Schwab U.S. Broad Market ETF (SCHB) and the Schwab U.S. Large-Cap ETF (SCHX), which investors buy and trade like stocks. It belongs to the brokerage Charles Schwab, a firm built around low-cost investing. A trust rather than a company, it exists simply to hold fund assets for shareholders—a quirk of how investment firms organize their products.
