Amcor Plc
A maker of the flexible plastic films and rigid containers that wrap everyday goods, Amcor serves food, beverage, and health-care brands through its Flexible and Rigid Packaging divisions. Its roots reach back to 1860s Melbourne, where Yorkshire stonemason Samuel Ramsden built Victoria's first paper mill on the Yarra River; the name "Amcor" came from a 1986 rebranding of Australian Paper Manufacturers. In 2025 the company merged with Berry Global, becoming one of the world's largest packaging firms.
