Nuveen Preferred & Income Opportunities Fund
A closed-end investment fund that buys preferred stocks and other income-producing securities and passes the resulting income on to its shareholders. It trades on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker JPC and was launched in 2003. The fund is run by Nuveen, a Chicago investment firm founded in 1898 by John Nuveen Sr., who began by underwriting municipal bonds for public works projects across the country.
