Tortoise Acquisition Corp.
A special-purpose blank check company, or SPAC, created to raise money and then buy an operating business. Named after Tortoise Investments, the energy-focused investment firm that sponsored it — whose slow-and-steady branding inspired the tortoise name — it merged with Hyliion Inc., a maker of electrified powertrains for Class 8 semi-trucks, in a deal completed in October 2020. The combined company was renamed Hyliion Holdings Corp.
Class A Common Stock — Merged with Hyliion Inc. on Oct 1, 2020; combined company renamed Hyliion Holdings Corp. (HYLN).
