Blackrock Munivest Fund Ii, Inc.
A closed-end investment fund that bought long-term municipal bonds whose interest is exempt from federal income tax, so it paid shareholders tax-free income. It began in 1993 under the BlackRock umbrella, and its name is a portmanteau of "muni" (municipal bonds) and "vest" (investment). In February 2026 it was folded into the BlackRock MuniYield Quality Fund III, ending its separate life on the New York Stock Exchange.
