Oceanagold Corp
A gold and copper mining company digging in New Zealand, the Philippines, and the United States, with its Macraes and Waihi mines in New Zealand and the Haile mine in South Carolina. Born in 1989 as Macraes Mining Company, it took the OceanaGold name after a 2003 restructuring echoing its Oceania roots. Its Macraes site, New Zealand's largest active gold mine, has run continuously since 1990 — in a region where prospectors first struck gold in 1862.
