These are ARK Blockchain & Fintech Innovation ETF's own holdings, not the firm's. Percentages are of the stock positions in its latest filing — the fund's cash and bonds are not included. An actively managed exchange-traded fund that hunts for companies rewiring how money moves, this fund looks for the financial arm of ARK Invest's bet on disruptive innovation. Its mandate reaches across the technology that underpins modern finance: blockchain and distributed-ledger systems, digital wallets and mobile payments, peer-to-peer lending, and the platforms that process transactions and reshape how risk is priced. Where ARK's other funds chase genomics or autonomous technology, this one is the firm's money shop, trained on the startups and established names trying to make banking frictionless and financial infrastructure cheaper to run. The fund opened on February 4, 2019 as the ARK Fintech Innovation ETF, one of a family of thematic funds built by ARK Invest. It was later renamed the ARK Blockchain & Fintech Innovation ETF to make its focus on distributed-ledger technology explicit, while keeping its original ARKF ticker. Like its siblings it is actively managed rather than tied to an index, and its research team publishes the open research that underpins the firm's picks. The fund is run by ARK's collaborative investment team under the firm's founder and chief investment officer, Cathie Wood, the same research-driven process applied across the house. Under that team it holds a concentrated portfolio of American and international stocks, betting that the companies building digital finance will reshape the way the world pays, lends and moves value.
ARK Blockchain & Fintech Innovation ETF opened new positions in Circle Internet Group, Bitmine Immersion Technologies, Advanced Micro Devices, Etoro Group, and Doordash, while exiting Avidxchange Holdings and Uipath. The fund also added to Shopify, Ark 21shares Bitcoin ETF, Sofi Technologies, Futu Holdings, Nu Holdings, Nvidia, 3iq Ether Staking ETF, 3iq Solana Staking ETF, Ibotta, and Airbnb. It trimmed Robinhood Markets, Coinbase Global, Roblox, Palantir Technologies, Block, Crowdstrike Holdings, and Reddit.
