These are ARK Genomic Revolution ETF's own holdings, not the firm's. Percentages are of the stock positions in its latest filing — the fund's cash and bonds are not included. This actively managed fund seeks out the companies building the tools of genomics: sequencing platforms, gene-editing systems and CRISPR medicines that are turning DNA into routine work in the clinic and the hospital. It is not a broad slice of the biotech sector. It concentrates on the builders of a handful of overlapping platforms — precision medicine, gene therapy and synthetic biology, and the diagnostic software that runs on them — and is willing to ride the sharp swings its positions take while those platforms work out. Where ARK's other themes reach toward robotics, autonomous transport, energy and blockchain, this one stays closer to the tissue and the test tube. It shares the firm's signature research-heavy, open style — daily published research, transparent trades and portfolios built top-down from multi-year forecasts rather than trailing earnings — but its risk is concentrated in a single technological wave instead of spread across many. The fund launched on October 31, 2014, as one of ARK Invest's original active exchange-traded products, conceived under Cathie Wood, the firm's founder. She still oversees the strategy as ARK's chief investment officer and the portfolio manager named on the fund today, supported by a dedicated team of genomics analysts.
ARK Genomic Revolution ETF opened new positions in Tempus Ai and Senti Biosciences, then exited Senti Biosciences entirely. It trimmed Twist Bioscience, Caredx, Nurix Therapeutics, Moderna, Vertex Pharmaceuticals, and Veeva Systems, while adding to Intellia Therapeutics and Adaptive Biotechnologies. The fund substantially increased its stakes in 10x Genomics, Amgen, Absci, and Natera, and dramatically boosted Guardant Health. It also sharply reduced Exact Sciences, Incyte, Teladoc Health, and Ginkgo Bioworks.
