Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce
One of Canada's big banks, CIBC offers everyday banking, mortgages, credit cards, loans and wealth management to individuals, businesses and institutions across North America. It was born in 1961 when two long-standing Toronto banks—the Canadian Bank of Commerce (founded 1867) and the Imperial Bank of Canada—merged, and its name simply stitches theirs together. Its old Commerce Court tower in Toronto was once the tallest building in the British Empire.
