Columbia Pipeline Group Inc
A mover of natural gas, Columbia Pipeline Group ran a vast network of interstate pipelines and underground storage stretching from the Gulf of Mexico to the Northeast, carrying gas to local utilities, big industrial users, and power plants. It traces its roots to 1906, when the Columbia Corporation built a pipeline hauling West Virginia gas to Cincinnati; the name "Columbia" was chosen to evoke American identity and national scale. After decades of growth, NiSource spun the pipelines off into their own company in 2015, and a year later TransCanada (now TC Energy) folded it in.
