Corepoint Lodging Inc
A real estate investment trust that owned midscale and upper-midscale hotels, most of them flying the La Quinta brand — budget-friendly, select-service properties clustered near highways, airports, and business hubs. It was born in May 2018 as a spinoff from La Quinta Holdings, which split its owned properties (CorePoint) from its franchise business (sold to Wyndham). The "La Quinta" name means "the fifth" in Spanish, a nod to the chain's roots in the Lone Star State.
