Crane Company

A maker of engineered industrial parts, Crane Co. supplies valves, pumps, and fluid-control gear for planes, power plants, and factories, plus automated payment and banknote-validation systems. It began in 1855 when Richard Teller Crane opened a small brass foundry in Chicago and grew into a household name for bathroom fixtures—its plumbing appeared in Frank Lloyd Wright's Imperial Hotel in Tokyo. The company later sold off its plumbing division and today focuses on specialized aerospace and industrial products.
