Its signature product line, PSoC (Programmable System-on-Chip), packs a microcontroller with programmable analog and digital circuits onto one chip that engineers can tailor for tasks like sensor interfaces and motor control. Founded in 1982 in San Jose, California, by T.J. Rodgers and five former AMD employees, the company was acquired by Germany's Infineon Technologies in 2020.
