Ccc Intelligent Solutions Holdings Inc.
A special purpose acquisition company (SPAC) — a "blank-check" shell with no business of its own — created in 2020 by the San Francisco investment firm Dragoneer Investment Group to raise money and merge with a private company. In 2021 it merged with CCC Information Services, a software platform that helps auto insurers, repair shops, and parts suppliers handle accident claims and collision estimates, and the combined company was renamed CCC Intelligent Solutions Holdings. A fun detail: the SPAC's whole purpose was to disappear — it existed only to find a target and hand over its stock, which it did when CCC began trading on the New York Stock Exchange in August 2021.
