Soar Technology Acquisition Corp.
A "blank check" company, Soar Technology Acquisition Corp. was a special purpose acquisition company (SPAC) set up in 2021 to raise money and find a private tech business to take public through a merger. It launched its initial public offering in September 2021 and traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker FLYA, led by backers including Expedia chairman Peter Kern. It never found a company to merge with, so in late 2022 it dissolved and returned investors' money. Fun quirk: it's often confused with SoarTech, a separate Michigan artificial intelligence firm that shares a similar name.
