Founded in Jackson, Mississippi in 1969, it began life as Third ICM Realty before adopting the EastGroup name in 1983 when a new management team took the helm. A telling detail: it once owned a broad mix of properties, then in 1994 pivoted to focus purely on industrial distribution space.
