Ellington Credit Company
A publicly traded investment company that puts money into corporate collateralized loan obligations (CLOs)—bundles of business loans—trading on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker EARN. Formerly known as Ellington Residential Mortgage REIT, it shifted focus in 2024 from residential mortgage securities to corporate CLOs and dropped its real estate investment trust status. It is managed by an affiliate of Ellington Management Group, whose name comes not from the jazz legend but from the Connecticut hometown of its founder, Michael Vranos.
