Fermi Inc.
A developer of grid-independent power and AI data-center campuses, Fermi is building Project Matador in the Texas Panhandle, where on-site gas, battery, and future nuclear generation is designed to power hyperscale compute tenants. Co-founded in 2025 by former U.S. Energy Secretary and Texas Governor Rick Perry, it takes its name from physicist Enrico Fermi, builder of the world's first nuclear reactor; the "Matador" name nods to the region's ranching heritage.
