A special purpose acquisition company, or SPAC, created by the venture capital firm Fifth Wall to find and take public a technology business serving real estate and the "built world." In 2021 it merged with SmartRent, whose smart-home platform lets apartment dwellers and property managers control locks, thermostats, and lighting from a smartphone. Its name plays on the idea that technology forms the "fifth wall" of a building alongside its four physical walls.
